1. Purpose: The purposes of changing the exhaust are creating a better sound, better performance (new mufflers increase the amount of air absorbed in the cylinders, which means more fuel is added to the cylinder, more power), and better look. As Keanu Reeves has once said “It sounds good, it rides amazing”.
2. How to do it:
2.1. Preparation
First, I had to prepare the 9/16-inch ring spanner, though I found it out by chance that a 14mm ring spanner fit it better.

I also need a 3/8 head with a tube to decrease the force which I need to apply.

2.2. Action
- Loosen upper muffler
I only change the mufflers (exhaust pipe, not including the header), so I took it out first. To do that, firstly, I loosen the clamp which connect the muffler and the header, using 9/16 inch ring spanner.
(*The reason Ii loosened the clamp before loosening the screws used to hold the pipe up to the chassis is that if I did otherwise, the gasket could be damaged.)

Then I loosened the screws used to hold the pipe up to the chassis.

After that, I pull out the exhaust pipe (muffler).

I did these with the upper one first, because the screws holding the pipe up to the chassis of the lower one was covered by the upper one.
- Loosening lower muffer

- Assemble
Now it’s time to put the new pair of slip-ons mufflers on. I just did exactly from the end to the beginning of loosen section.

(However, some muffler doesn’t go with the gaskets. So, sometimes, I had to install it by knocking it down by the hammer. It has the metal cover on the edge at the head so there is no problem when I used hammer. After it got in, because the metal cover covers a small part so when the metal cover touched the rim of the exhaust, I remove it, and carefully pushed it in completely, make sure the head of the gasket is not.)
